Wordless Wednesday – Again

I just pulled these out of the pressure canner.
Pressure canners make me nervous.
I’m always afraid of an accident with it.
I’m currently sitting here listening to the lids pop.
Yay for canned veggies.
My next batch will be blanched and frozen.
Not as stressful. πŸ™‚

  1. oh wow..I have a fear of canning. Actually I have a fear of bad food, so I'm afraid I'll do it wrong and the food will go bad and I won't know it and eat it anyway and get sick. That's a lot of fears isn't it? That's why I avoid it and freeze everything. πŸ™‚ Your canned veggies are beautiful though πŸ™‚

  2. Megan, if you use a pressure canner you won't have to worry about everyone getting sick. Pressure canning raises the temperature high enough that it kills the bacteria, etc. I did try the bath method and was afraid to eat those ones (they tasted weird, so I did dump them all – this was last year).
